The Michigan Interscholastic Forensics Association has been the governing body for speech activities in the state of Michigan since 1917. Their annual One-Act Theatre Festival offers two styles of one-act theatre events, Studio Productions and Main Stage. Trenton traditionally has performed in the Studio category, which put a focus on the actors and the script, making little to no use of extensive technical aspects of a show such sets, lighting or props.
